Chief: In 1994 was UWFi Best of the World Tournament 3/04/94 was Round 1, where Sano beat Nakano BUT... i know 3/04/94 Nakano beat Kanehara... I don't understand... My Question about Sano vs Nakano: When there was this match? Whether there was it?

tabe: By mid-1995, Gary Albright was being moved down within UWFI. He was not going to be a top star any longer. So UWFI had him lose to Kakihara on 5/17/95. This match was very one-sided, with Albright in control nearly the entire match. Kakihara was shown to be too small and inexperienced to compete with Albright. However, as Albright attempted one final suplex, Kakihara rolled forward for a kneebar and submitted Albright. For the Tamura matches, Albright was once again told to lose. By this time, he was in a fight with UWFI management over money and was not happy about it. During the 6/18/95 match, he went out of his way to not cooperate and to embarrass Tamura. He made it very clear, by refusing to break on the ropes, and not selling, that he felt he was the better wrestler and was trying to show that to the fans. He did eventually tap out but had made it clear that he was doing so in a fake way. After the match, Tamura broke down and sobbed as that was his biggest victory to that point and he had been embarrassed. That match led to Albright being fired from UWFi. He joined All Japan at that point. UWFi, however, brought him back for one more match with Tamura, this time on 8/18/95. The rematch is a standard UWFi match, nothing unusual at all. Tamura gets the victory and Albright is done with UWFI forever. Tabe

Chief: Sadi Да не вопрос! К середине 1995, Гари Олбрайт начал опускаться в рейтинге UWFI. Он уже не стремился как раньше быть звездой. Промоутеры UWFI сделал так, чтобы он проиграл Какихаре 17.05.1995.. Этот бой был очень односторонний, под полным контролем Олбрайта в течение всей схватки. Какихара выглядел очень маленьким и неопытным, чтобы конкурировать с Олбрайтом. Однако, когда Олбрайт сделал попытку провести заверщающий суплекс, которым он заканчивал многие свои бои, Какихара кувыркнулся вперед для исполнения захвата kneebar и заставил Олбрайта сдаться. Что касается бооя с Тамурой, Олбрайту еще раз сказали проиграть. К этому времени, он боролся с организаторами UWFI по вопросу денег и не был доволен оплатой. В течение боя 18.06.1995, он не был похож на самого себя, боясь Тамуре нанести хоть какой-то урон, все приемы выглядели очень чистыми и аккуратными. Он чувствовал, что был лучшим борцом и пробовал показать это болельщикам. Он действительно неплохо побросал Тамуру, но как оказалось это все было подделкой. После матча Тамура рыдал, поскольку это было его самой большой победой в UWFi. Второй их бой прошел в предверии ухода из UWFi. Он присоединился к All Japan. UWFi, однако, вернул его для проведения боя с Тамурой, на сей раз 18.08.1995. Матч-реванш оказался обчным и скучным, ничем не примечательным. Тамура победил и Олбрайт ушел с UWFI навсегда

Почти все матчи затяжные, инценированные, победитель известен заранее. Короче Олбрайт там выглядел как огромная груша для битья, которая оказывала безвольное сопротивление.
Molot: Bason Да верно..All Japan это "Шоу" где Гарри играл роль плохого парня и плохого бойца..Видел пару боёв и как актёр он не особо :(
Sadi: Спасибо Bason и Molot ,но почему Гари был в роли плохого бойца,ведь я думаю он там был не самым слабым,хоть я и знаю,что All Japan-один из самых ужасных кэтчей,но все же Гари я думаю был не грушей для битья
Molot: Sadi по факту он был там самый сильный..А по сценарию, злой выскачка который на деле ноль..(( Я видел бои и других актёров и впечатления особо никто на меня не произвёл..на ринге Бушидо с ними было тоже самое что с ребятами из Американского шоу - рестленга которые приезжали в Японию, опозорились и уезжали..

My UWFi'95 match-listing: DVD 40 Quality: 1st gen Length: 2.25 hrs UWFI - 1/16/95 (By this point in their history, UWFI was coming down after the high of their awesome run in 1993/94. The quality of the shows began to dip just a bit and the crowds weren't quite as hot. This is a pretty good show, highlighted by the "dream" match of Vader vs Albright and a terrific tag match.) ??? vs ??? (kickboxing) Kenichi Yamamoto vs Hiromitsu Kanehara (Incredible - a 15-0 squash!) Yoshihiro Takayama vs Thomas Burton Bad News Allen vs Tatsuo Nakano (Weird - Bad News submits to a leg hold repeatedly by saying "yeah" but the ref doesn't stop the match. They roll into another hold and Allen again submits. This time, the ref stops it.) Yoji Anjoh & Masahito Kakihara vs Naoki Sano vs Kazushi Sakuraba (***1/2!) Kiyoshi Tamura vs Gene Lydick (Lydick does a VERY impressive German suplex, lifting Tamura off his hands and knees and throwing him, all in one motion.) Nobuhiko Takada & Billy Scott vs Kazuo Yamazaki & James Stone (The fans, who had been dead up to this point, heat up immediately for the Takada/Yamazaki confrontation. Yamazaki dominates it, then - literally - the match is over less than 2 minutes later. WTF? That's just bad booking guys!) Vader vs Gary Albright (Vader stiffs Gary several times, but this is overall pretty disappointing since each guy negates the other's strength.) DVD 41 Quality: 1st gen Length: 1.5 hr UWFI - 2/18/95 (Pretty good tape, but the main event drags it down some.) Kenichi Yamamoto vs Tatsuo Nakano Tom Burton vs Hiromitsu Kanehara Yoshihiro Takayama vs Jim Stone (Stone is better known as ECW's Little Guido) Yoji Anjoh vs Kazushi Sakuraba Billy Scott vs Yuko Miyato Naoki Sano vs Gene Lydick (they blow the finish and Lydick gets pissed off) Masahito Kakihara vs Kiyoshi Tamura Nobuhiko Takada vs Kazuo Yamazaki (Terribly disappointing match as Yamazaki gets legit injured early on and ends up not able to do anything, so he taps out in less than 5 minutes. ARGH!) DVD 42 Quality: 1st gen Length: 2.25 hrs UWFI - 4/20/95 (Another good tape from UWFI during the "Vader Era" with an outstanding main event.) Tom Burton vs Kenichi Yamamoto Jim Stone vs Hiromitsu Kanehara Yuko Miyato vs Gene Lydick Tatsuo Nakano vs Yoji Anjoh Yoshihiro Takayama & Kazuo Yamazaki vs Kazushi Sakuraba & Kiyoshi Tamura Masahito Kakihara vs Naoki Sano (***1/2) Billy Scott vs Gary Albright NOBUHIKO TAKADA VS VADER (The last and least-known of the trio of singles matches between Vader and Takada, this one is as stiff as the others. They start out throwing bombs at the bell and never stop. Just a great, great match. Takada wins the UWFI title.) DVD 43 Quality: 1st gen Length: 2.25 hrs UWFI - 5/17/95 (Another solid tape from UWFI, highlighted by an excellent tag match and a big upset for Kakihara). Kenichi Yamamoto vs Jim Stone Yoshihiro Takayama & Kazushi Sakuraba vs Tom Burton & Hiromitsu Kanehara Tatsuo Nakano vs Gene Lydick Yuko Miyato & Yoji Anjoh vs Naoki Sano & Billy Scott (the stiffness in this match is WAY up there. Throw in several cheapshots and you have yourself a very heated match ***3/4!.) Kazuo Yamazaki vs Yiyoshi Tamura Gary Albright vs Masahito Kakihara (Albright dominates the match until Kakihara forces a tap from out of nowhere! Big upset!) Nobuhiko Takada vs Joe Malenko (Without a doubt, this is the slowest moving UWFI match I've ever seen. Neither guy loses a point until after the 20-minute mark, which is unreal. Then Malenko taps a minute later.) DVD 44 Quality: 1st gen Length: 2.25 hrs UWFI - 6/18/95 (One of the last UWFI shows before some of their stars left for RINGS and New Japan. Some really good stuff here.) Kenichi Yamamoto vs Steve Nelson Kazushi Sakuraba vs James Stone Gene Lydick & Tatsuo Nakano vs Billy Scott & Hiromitsu Kanehara Yuko Miyato vs Tom Burton Yoshihiro Takayama vs Kazuo Yamazaki (***1/2) YOJI ANJOH VS NAOKI SANO Gary Albright vs Kiyoshi Tamura (Turns into a shoot! Albright, apparently pissed that he has to job to Tamura, decides to not cooperate, refusing to break holds, and being a pain in general. This would be Albright's last match in UWFI, he'd be fired afterward.) Nobuhiko Takada vs Masahito Kakihara DVD 45 Quality: *MASTER* Length: 1.5 hrs UWFI "THE UWF SPIRITS" - 7/13/95 (SUPER rare show from the summer of '95 from UWFI. As almost all UWFI tapes are, this is a good one, with the tag mag and the main event being keepers.) Kazushi Sakuraba vs Kenichi Yamamoto Tatsuo Nakano vs Steve Nelson MASAHITO KAKIHARA & HIROMITSU KANEHARA VS YOJI ANJOH & YOSHIHIRO TAKAYAMA (Really stiff, really good) Naoki Sano vs James Stone Kiyoshi Tamura vs Joe Malenko (Much better than Malenko's effort against Takada 2 months earlier. Tamura forces Malenko to be a little more up-tempo and also uses some strikes, making the match more interesting. Still not GREAT or anything, but good.) DVD 46 Quality: *MASTER* Length: 1.5 hrs UWFI "THE UWF SPIRITS" - 7/22/95 (SUPER rare show from UWFI from the summer of '95. This is a good one, but the main event is highly disappointing.) Hiromitsu Kanehara vs Kenichi Yamamoto (Super stiff, like every Kanehara match) Steve Nelson vs James Stone Yoshihiro Takayama vs Tatsuo Nakano KAZUSHI SAKURABA & NAOKI SANO VS JOE MALENKO & YOJI ANJOH (By far, this is the best Malenko match from UWFI) Kiyoshi Tamura vs Masahito Kakihara (Somewhere along the line, Tamura turned into a turd. He gives Kakihara nothing in this match and the result is a pretty crappy 6-minute match that doesn't hold a candle to their fight match in 1991. Ugh.) DVD 47 Quality: *MASTER* Length: 1.5 hrs UWFI "THE UWF SPIRITS" - 8/18/95 (SUPER rare tape from the summer of '95. This one is a must-have, if only for the little-seen rematch of Albright & Tamura.) Tom Burton vs Kenichi Yamamoto Kazushi Sakuraba vs Hiromitsu Kanehara Naoki Sano vs Yoshihiro Takayama (Nasty-looking KO) Masahito Kakihara vs Yoji Anjoh Nobuhiko Takada vs Tatsuo Nakano Gary Albright vs Kiyoshi Tamura (After the farce that was their 6/18/95 match, this little-known rematch was ordered. No shooting or non-cooperation this time, Albright is a total pro here. Not a great match, but decent, and well worth seeing.)
